The Chedi has been renovated on
many occasions:
1.
In B.E.1800, or around 700 years
after the sacred chedi was first
constructed, King
Sridharmasokarach renovated the
chedi and at the same time
changed the style from that of
Srivichai art to Lankan art.
During the time, many kings from
other cities in the region sent
men to support the renovation
project. Furthermore some of
them even built a similar chedi
located in Wat Pra-ngern, Nakon
Si Thammarat, locally called
“Chedi Yak”. It was also
recorded that Wat Nangtra was
also built at this time
3. The next renovation
occurred around 700 years after
the previous renovation and was
organized by Ajahn Khun Pan
