Phra Sivali was the name given to a venereated monk, son of Princess Suppawasah, daughter of the King of Kohliya. Even whilst pregnant the young princess was blessed with good fortune. According to legend, the young boy remained in his mothers womb for seven years, and she was in labour for seven days.
Sivali was destined to become a monk and it is believed that he achieved enlightenment the very day of his ordination. Wherever he went good luck and fortune follwed him, and this particular batch of amulets are thought to bring fortune and success to the owner. The original katha supplied by the temple accompanies the amulet.
The reverse features three takruts, made from gold, silver and copper. The takruts provide protection to the worshipper.
