 Introduction

The word Mit Mor is a folk word to describe a medic or specialist knife. Mor meaning “specialist” and Mit meaning “Knife”. As such Mitmor literally means a knife created by a specialist in the sacred sciences. It also has two other formal names, Mit Dhep Sattra or ''the God's knife''  and  Mit Prab Pairee or the  ''conquering knife''.

There are several monks, who are highly respected for their sacred-knife amulets, such as Luang Phor Doem and his disciples, Luang Phor Noi (Phrakru Nipand DhammaKut) of Wat Nong Pho and LP Kant (Phrakru Nisit KunaKorn) of Wat Kao Kaew at Nakhon Sawan., Luang Phor Soke of Wat Pakklongbangkrok, Luang Phor Kun of Wat Khaokaew, Luang Phor Kuay of Wat Kositaram, Luang Phor Joy of Wat Sri-umporn, and Luang Phor Ode of Wat Junsen.
